ABOUT THE WOLWEDANS FOUNDATION
Welcome to the Wolwedans Foundation, where the true essence of community outreach thrives through enduring endeavors. The Wolwedans Foundation was established in 2010 with a view to being the do-good leg of the Wolwedans Group. Operating in Namibia, with a strong focus on the southern region of the country (Hardap Region), the Foundation has established partnerships with various institutions and adopted a resilient spirit, having stayed the course through tough times, such as the COVID 19 pandemic.
Alongside the commercial arm, Wolwedans Collection of Camps & Lodges, it was also contracted to the achievement of certain goals and best practice parameters as set out in the Wolwedans Compass, the Wolwedans vision, the Matrix-25 and for members of the Long Run. Simply put, the Foundation is our lasting legacy, established and existing to shape futures, change lives and create hope for our people, for many more years to come.
Predominantly, our paramount mission is to impart knowledge to the youth of Namibia, bestowing upon them a nationally accredited and globally acclaimed qualification—an invaluable reward cherished by both our facilitators and apprentices.
Curiously, one might ponder why every tourism venture across the world does not invest in the 5C’s, a profound initiative emanating from Global Ecosphere Retreats’ Long Run Destinations. The answer lies in the magnitude of commitment required, a grand pursuit necessitating a devoted team to engage the 5C’s: commerce, community, conservation, culture, and consciousness.
Yet, with hope in our hearts, we envision a future where all enterprises embrace the vision of harmonizing people, planet, and profit, thus fostering sustainability in both corporate landscapes and individual lives. The Wolwedans Foundation exists to kindle this new paradigm, firmly believing in the possibility of an alternative path—a path we affectionately refer to as the Wolwedans Way.
To us, empowering young Namibians through education serves as a resolute legacy. Our chosen approach not only equips the next generation with knowledge but also leaves a lasting positive impact on the communities of this remarkable nation.
